Construction Employment Grows, but Slows

Construction employment in April reached its highest level since December 2008 but only increased by 1,000 jobs, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

The association, which has been warning of a shortage of qualified workers for the past year, also announced a new online job portal for the construction industry called the AGC Career Center. It will allow workers to search for jobs by location, experience and keyword, and for employers to post positions and review resumes.
