Construction Spending Grows in All Sectors

The last time construction spending was as high as it was in May, John McCain was running for president.

You’ve got to go back to October 2008 to find spending levels as high as in May — $1.036 trillion at a seasonally adjusted annual rate, 0.8 percent higher than the April total (even though that figure was revised sharply upward) and 8.2 percent higher than in May 2014.
