An energy efficient retrofit project was completed as part of a large community wide library upgrade. Tasked with creating a more energy efficient HVAC and lighting system, a regional energy services company (ESCO) added building automation, C02 sensors, and completed a thorough lighting upgrade to this library. The results provided a 54.80% power and energy savings to qualify for the whole building $1.80/SF Section 179D deduction.
