Construction Employment Declines
Construction employment declined for a second straight month in May, dropping by 15,000 jobs, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). (April employment, initially reported as showing an increase of 1,000 jobs, was revised downward to show a 5,000-job drop.)

AIA Issues Study of Green Design Award-Winners
The Committee on the Environment of the American Institute of Architects has issued Lessons from the Leading Edge, a study of nearly 200 award-winning sustainable design projects that demonstrate COTE’s mission to “enhance both the design quality and environmental performance of the built environment.”
